DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

There were no declarations of interest made at the beginning or during the course of the meeting.

The Chair advised the Members at the start of the meeting that two of the applicants had withdrawn their applications.  Therefore, the Member would only be considering the public interest test certificates from item 4 and item 6 from the Proper Officer and concluded that on balance the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information and it was

 

RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting because of the likely disclosure to them of exempt information as identified in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE /PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for the grant of a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence be granted subject to the applicant obtaining a satisfactory Group 2 Medical and letter of warning being issued.

 

The applicant was informed of their right of appeal to the local Magistrates Court within 21 days following receipt of the written decision notice.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE /PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

The Chair advised the Members that the applicant had withdrawn their application. Therefore, there was no matter to consider.

 

6.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE /PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for the grant of a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence be refused.

 

The applicant was informed of their right of appeal to the local Magistrates Court within 21 days following receipt of the written decision notice.

 

7.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE /PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

The Chair advised the Members that the applicant had withdrawn their application. Therefore, there was no matter to consider. 

 

            The meeting closed at 12.40p.m.
