The Sub Committee were advised of the unavailability of both the Chair and Vice-Chair for this meeting, and the need to elect a Member to preside as acting Chair. The Sub Committee unanimously voted to elect Councillor Mike Davies to preside as Chair for the duration of the meeting.

An apology for absence was received from Deborah Lewis (Child Protection Coordinator).

There were no declarations of interest made at the beginning or during the course of the meeting.

Members considered the public interest test certificate from the Proper Officer and concluded that on balance the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information and it was

RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting because of the likely disclosure to them of exempt information as identified in paragraphs 12, 17 and 18 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the licences for the two premises as detailed in the report be allowed to continue, subject to the conditions set out in the decision notice for each of the premises.

The decision notices advised any person aggrieved by the decision of their right to appeal to the local Magistrates Court within 21 days from the date of written notification of the decision.
