DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

There were no declarations of interest made at the beginning or during the course of the meeting.

Minutes:

            Members considered the seven public interest test certificates from the Proper Officer and concluded that on balance the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information and it was

 

RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting because of the likely disclosure to them of exempt information as identified in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

 

4.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE / PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for the renewal of the hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence held by Mr R be granted, subject to the condition set out at the meeting.

 

5.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE / PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the existing hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver licence held by Mr B be allowed to continue.

 

6.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE / PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for a new hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence be granted.

 

7.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE / PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for the grant of a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence be refused.

 

The applicant was informed of his right of appeal within 21 days following receipt of the written decision notice to appeal to the local Magistrates Court.

 

 

8.

LICENSING OF PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE OPERATORS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee RESOLVED by way of the casting vote of the Chair that the private hire vehicle operator licence as set out in the report be revoked.

 

The operator was informed of his right of appeal within 21 days following receipt of the decision notice to appeal to the local Magistrates Court.

 

9.

LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE / PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE DRIVERS

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the existing hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver licence held by Mr C be allowed to continue.

10.

APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE LICENCE AND EXEMPTION IN RESPECT OF WINDOW TINTING/ DISPLAY OF LICENCE PLATES AND AGE POLICY

Minutes:

Having regard to the Officer’s report and all the representations made, and for the reasons disclosed at the meeting, the Sub Committee unanimously RESOLVED that the application for the grant of a private hire vehicle licence and exemption in respect of window tinting/display of licence plates and age policy be granted, subject to the condition set out at the meeting.

 

 

            The Chair thanked all parties for their attendance and the meeting closed at 4.35 p.m.
